A quick update on the whole Nintendo Of America v. Wii Gamers. It turns out that the moment Nintendo announced it’s new console the Wii U, it was done giving supporting the Wii. Now NOA might say “Whaaat? Noooo! How can you say that!? We’re still releasing Zelda: Skyward Sword, so clearly we still care!” Followed by loud farts as they overburden their diapers. You know… because they’re babies. But to these babies I say “Well duh, you had Skyward Sword started long before the announcement of the Wii U. Hell, I’m sure you had it in development in 2009, the same year you teased us Americans with the trailer for Xenoblade. Also I’m sure that if any of the three titles in question were first party Nintendo games there wouldn’t be an issue.”
Operation Rainfall have been trying to get Nintendo to change their minds on the subject. In my opinion they’ve done a good job of showing that releasing the games here would be more then worth their time; remember that there is already an english version of Xenoblade at the very least. Tonight after a good showing of the enthusiasm by the fans on Twitter, Nintendo Of America tweeted this back:
Thanks for being such incredible fans! Unfortunately, there continues to be no plans for NOA to release these 3 games right now.
Well, we aren’t fans of you right now Nintendo, or I should specify your America branch. They should know that their ‘incredible fans’ are not going to quit after a single tweet.
I will be talking more about this issue in the future, but the matter as a principle.
